Multiflight provides children’s hospice Christmas surprise
Children and their families at Martin House Children’s Hospice in Boston Spa enjoyed a special visit today, Monday December 17th, when Multiflight flew Santa in by helicopter.
Multiflight helped to make is a Christmas to remember by providing a Dauphin helicopter from its fleet of charter helicopters for the special Christmas flight to the hospice. Leeds Bradford Airport provided the presents for the children at the hospice and their siblings.
It was a magical day. As the helicopter landed in a field by the hospice, children, parents and hospice staff cheered loudly and waved at Santa. The children were excited to meet Santa and receive their presents from him.
“It’s such a wonderful day for the children, their families and the staff at the hospice. It’s a special Christmas treat for them and Multiflight is delighted to be able to do this,” says Linda Nicholls, Multiflight’s Charter Manager.
Sheila O’Leary, Head of Care at Martin House Children’s Hospice, says: “Santa arriving in his helicopter is one of the most magical visits to Martin House. We would like to say a big thank you to everyone involved.”
The hospice needs to raise £4.9 million annually to run the service it provides at its purpose built hospice in Boston Spa, Wetherby, and care for children and young people from throughout the Yorkshire region.
