Multiflight and Leeds University relationship still flying high after 10 years
Multiflight is proud to have a long-standing relationship with Leeds University, supporting its aviation-related courses, and this continues to prosper.
David Germaine and Luke Briggs from Multiflight were guests of Leeds University Lecturer Dr Stephen Wright at the Leeds University Union Aviation Society (AvSoc) Christmas party at the weekend, in recognition of the work Multiflight has done with the university since 2008.
It was back in 2008 that Dr Wright first contacted David at Multiflight and subsequently Multiflight donated a Lycoming O-235 engine to the university and taught students how to do an engine rebuild. The engine is on display at the university.
From then the relationship has grown: Multiflight has previously sponsored the AvSoc, providing sweat and polo shirts for all AvSoc members and funding to pay for events and trips, has had students on work experience placements and has worked closely with Dr Wright.
Dr Wright is leaving Leeds University to work as a Professor of Industry in Finland and Multiflight will continue to work with him, as well as with Leeds University.
“It’s a great relationship we have with Dr Wright and Leeds University, which has been of tremendous benefit and we are looking forward to future projects and joint initiatives,” said David.
