When ITV wanted to give staff a day out to remember they chose Multiflight’s charter service to take them to York Races.
Staff from across the northern departments of ITV: from finance to the local weather team, travelled in the comfort of Multiflight’s Dauphin helicopter G-MLTY and had a great day out. The trip was a thank you from ITV to the staff for their hard work.
“Only one passenger in the whole group had ever been in a helicopter before, and, despite a few initial nerves, the day was full of smiles and all that was talked about was how fantastic the helicopter was!,” said Matt Cheshire, of ITV.
“Everyone had a great day: we picked winners, we picked the right weather and we certainly picked the right way to get there and back. It took about 12 minutes to get from Leeds Bradford Airport to York, with no traffic delays and no worry of anything other than which horses to back. It gave the day out that extra special feel which we could not have got any other way.”
The Group was full of praise for Multiflight, with Matt saying: “Multiflight was great from the moment we arrived to leaving that evening. On arrival we were taken to the helicopter and given our pre-flight brief by Steve: he was a total pleasure to be flown by.
“The whole experience was amazing: even waiting for our pick-up at the end of the day was great in the Multiflight lounge. All everyone is talking about and planning now is next year’s trip!”
ITV Yorkshire hosted the day with colleagues from ITV Granada and ITV Tyne Tees. The group consisted of editorial, technical, financial and on-screen ITV staff.
