Helicopter test pilots undergo Multiflight flight training
Multiflight has been chosen to provide flight training for helicopter test pilots from a South Korean aerospace company.
The first test pilot has just successfully completed his training and two more pilots are set to follow over the coming weeks.
The pilots work for a South Korean aerospace company developing new variants of existing Airbus helicopter types. At the moment it is preparing for the first flight of a new variant of the EC155 helicopter.
To prepare its test pilots for the first flight in the new helicopter the company looked around the globe for providers of training on the Dauphin family of helicopters.
“Recognising Multiflight’s extensive experience of the Dauphin family of helicopters they contacted us to provide a training course largely based on the Dauphin N2 Type Rating course,” said Mark Griffiths, Multiflight’s Chief Helicopter Pilot.
“The course has included a 2-day Dauphin N2 technical ground school, 10 hours flying on the Dauphin N2 and two hours flying on the EC155 B1.”
