Multiflight was delighted to be voted one of the top FBO facilities in Europe by qualified aircraft operating readers of the publication EBAN (European Business Air News).
Multiflight, which handles private aviation and business flights at Leeds Bradford International Airport, was awarded third place in the survey by EBAN, placing it above many much larger FBO facilities at airports across Europe. These FBOs include Stockholm, Paris, Geneva, Brussels, Cannes, Amsterdam, Zurich, London and Dubai.
The first place in the survey went to Palma de Mallorca: Mallorcair, with second place going to Farnborough (TAG London Farnborough Airport).
“For the Multiflight FBO to be ranked third in the whole of Europe, when facing competition from far larger airports with much greater traffic movements, is a significant achievement for Multiflight and our FBO team,” says Heather Cawthorne, Multiflight’s Handling Manager.
Heather says that a strong focus on providing first class service and always going that extra mile for clients is what helped gain the top ranking for Multiflight.
The Multiflight FBO team has been known to search the whole of Yorkshire for a certain wine for a client, and to send a taxi to collect a newspaper after being unable to locate it locally for another client.
“The FBO team always aims to please and our continued growth and traffic numbers show that our clients value the high level of service we provide: as too is being named the third FBO in Europe. Private travel continues to grow in popularity as more people recognise just home time and cost-effective private travel can be.”
Multiflight regularly deals with calls from emergency ambulance crew and is always on stand-by to call in extra staff, whatever the hour, to handle these calls.
The Multiflight FBO caters for all sizes of aircraft, ranging from light aircraft to VIP business jets and 757s. It features a dedicated taxiway from the apron as well as two barrel-vaulted hangars covering 6,300 square metres that are able to house four Boeing 737-800 sized aircraft.
The Multiflight FBO has been transformed over recent years as part of a multi-million pound investment by Multiflight in the South Side of Leeds Bradford International Airport. The FBO facilities were totally refurbished to provide luxury lounge facilities.
