You need a Flight Instructor qualification to give flying instruction to students, although there are initial restrictions in relation to the authorisation of solo flight and cross country flying. These will be removed once you have gained the full Flight Instructors rating.
The course includes 30 hours flight instruction, with an FIC instructor, of which 5 hours can be mutual with a fellow student instructor. There is also 125 hours of ground instruction:
• 40 hours Tuition,
• 78 hours Teaching Practice,
• 7 hours Progress Tests.
