Multi Engine Piston Rating (MEP)

Take your Multi Engine Piston Rating (MEP) at Multiflight

The Multi Engine Piston (MEP) rating is available here at the Multiflight Flight Training Centre at Leeds Bradford International Airport, Leeds, West Yorkshire, UK.

The Multi Engine Piston rating extends the privileges of a Private Pilot’s Licence (PPL) or Commercial Pilot’s Licence (CPL) and allows you to pilot aircraft with more than one engine. Your multiengine training will encompass learning to operate the aircraft as per your Private Pilot’s Licence (PPL) or Commercial Pilot’s Licence (CPL), except on two engines and then learning to operate the aircraft as if an engine had failed - asymmetrically.

You will need to pass one written theoretical examination and undergo six hours of flight training. You will also need to hold at least a Class 2 medical.

On completion of your training you would need to take and pass the flight test with a CAA approved examiner. Multiflight has two in-house MEP examiners: Andy Todd, Head of Training, and Brian Talbot, Commercial/IR Instructor.

The Multi-Engine Piston rating is valid for 12 months and is renewed with a flight test with a registered examiner.

Multiflight has an excellent reputation for UK Multi Engine Piston rating training. If you want to take your MEP then contact a member of the Multiflight Flight Training Centre team for more details. Pass your MEP with Multiflight.
