Bridegroom Luke Wood was flying high after his wedding thanks to a surprise gift from his bride.
Bride Emma knew Luke had always wanted to fly in a helicopter and so contacted the Multiflight Charter Department at Leeds Bradford International Airport to arrange a wedding day surprise for him. Luke knew nothing about the helicopter ride, until the B206 III Jetranger helicopter arrived to collect the couple after their wedding at Waterton Park, Wakefield.
“It took a lot of effort from me to keep the helicopter a secret for so many months,” said newly-married Emma Wood.
She added: “The whole experience was fantastic. I could not have asked for anything better: Chris our pilot was great and we enjoyed every single minute of the flight. Luke had a surprised look on his face the whole time. It made it all worth it just seeing his face. He was absolutely thrilled with it and we even saw our house from the helicopter. The helicopter even matched our wedding colour theme: what a coincidence.
“I can’t fault the service received by everyone at Multiflight Charter. All my queries were dealt with quickly, nothing was too much trouble, and the Multiflight charter team dealt directly with Waterton Park regarding insurance and paperwork, making the whole experience stress free and easy.
“I can’t say thank you enough. It made the day extra special for both of us and, after the ceremony, will be one of the first memories we made and shared as husband and wife. So thank you Multiflight Charter: it was beyond belief.”
