New cadets to start flight training at Multiflight

Multiflight is looking forward to welcoming a new batch of cadet pilots on the West Atlantic Airlines Cadet Pilot Programme/Sponsorship Scheme in the next couple of months.

We attended a West Atlantic Airlines’ Cadet Selection Day at Coventry Airport last week at which 19 prospective cadets were tested and took part in team tasks.  The cadets chosen from the day will come to Multiflight for a simulator ride and they will also meet with the board of West Atlantic Airlines.

West Atlantic Airlines is looking to take on five new cadets within the next couple of months and they will all be coming to Multiflight for their flight training.  The Multiflight Flight Training Centre at Leeds Bradford International Airport provides all the flight training for the cadet pilots on the West Atlantic Airlines Scheme.

This is a great scheme for aspiring pilots, taking trainee pilots who hold a valid PPL (Private Pilot’s Licence) to the issue of a full ATPL (Airline Transport Pilot’s Licence) and IR (Instrument Rating).  The scheme is funded totally by West Atlantic Airlines, with 50 per cent of the initial training costs to be paid back later by the pilot, but only after they have successfully completed the programme and are working and receiving pay as a First Officer with the airline.  All the cadets who are successful on the scheme are employed by West Atlantic Airlines on completing the programme, including type and line training, as a Commercial Pilot with one of the aircraft types used by West Atlantic Airlines.

West Atlantic Airlines is a merger between Atlantic Airlines and Swedish airline West Air.
