Factory Overhauled Lycoming Engines

Factory overhauled Lycoming engines are time-continued engines capable of running to their recommended TBO - again.

There’s no better overhaul for a Lycoming engine than a genuine factory overhaul: after all, Lycoming built the original. Lycoming has over 70 years of experience building piston engines for more than half the world’s general aviation aircraft.

During a factory overhaul, existing Lycoming engine parts that meet Lycoming’s service allowable limits are, where appropriate, reused. There is, however, an automatic throw-it-away-and-replace-it policy for any part that doesn’t measure up. A number of specified, critical parts are replaced with new parts: no questions asked.

With a factory overhaul engine, the price you are quoted is the price you will pay: providing the crankcase and the crankshaft are usable. There are no “we didn’t know about that until we opened it up” surprises to worry about. Plus, any product improvements that have been developed by Lycoming for the engine after it was originally produced, will be automatically incorporated during the overhaul process: at no additional cost to you.

The engine is reassembled with totally new cylinder assemblies and many other new Lycoming parts not normally installed by other over haulers.

Your time-continued Lycoming factory overhauled engine is capable of running to its recommended TBO again. It is backed by a factory warranty for a full year; from the time it is fired up – regardless of the number of hours flown, covering parts and labour.

With a genuine Textron Lycoming factory overhaul engine you get:
